Directions for Editing a Team Page

Adding Your Team’s Page to PBWorks:

  • Log in to sbite.pbworks.com
  • Click the Pages & Files tab (upper left)
  • If the triangle to the left of the Summer2010 folder (on the left) points to the right, click it to open the Summer 2010 folder
  • Click on the folder for your school (under the Summer 2010 folder label) 
  • Click the pull-down menu on New (upper left) and select Create a page…
  • Name your page, beginning with the name of your school or team--e.g., Orchard Project
  • Click [Create page]

 

Editing Your Team’s Page:

  • Log in to sbite.pbworks.com
  • Click the Pages & Files tab (upper left)
  • If the triangle to the left of the Summer2010 folder (on the left) points to the right, click it to open the Summer 2010 folder
  • Click on the folder for your school (under the Summer 2010 folder label) 
  • Click the [Edit] button underneath your page
  • Enter any text on the page
  • To add a document (e.g., your rubric):
    • Be sure the name of your document begins with your team/school (e.g., Orchard Rubric)
    • Click the Images and files tab (right)
    • Click the Upload files link
    • Navigate to and click on/select your document and click [Open]
    • After a few seconds your file should appear in the Images and files list
    • Position the cursor on the page where you’d like the link to your file
    • Click the name of your file in the Images and files list
    • A link should be added to your page
  • To insert a link to a document you have saved elsewhere (e.g., a Google Doc):
    • Make sure you’ve set the Sharing for the document so that others can see it
    • Copy the web address (URL) for the document
    • Type the name of the document in the PBWorks page
    • Select/highlight the text
    • Click the [Add Link] button (top center)
    • Click the [Browse Pages & Files] button
    • Click the Web Address button
    • Paste in the URL (web address)
    • Check the Open in new window check box
    • Click the [Insert Link] button
  • As your working, occasionally click the [Save and Continue] button (bottom left)
  • When you’re done (for now), click the [Save] button
